Lisa Wymore and Amara Tabor-Smith are getting ready to attend the Urban Bush Women Summer Leadership Institute: July 20-30 in New Orleans! The Leadership Institute will prepare us well for "From the Field to the Table" project here in TDPS this coming fall.
The focus of the Urban Bush Women Summer program is: Soul Deep -- Why Are People Poor: Demystifying
the Opportunity Gap in the United States. This summer work is going to be a great foundation for developing ideas and ways of engaging with community and bringing back this valuable knowledge to TDPS. More soon ......

"From the Field to the Table" is a community engagement project taking place within the Department of Theater Dance and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley, in conjunction with a residency by the acclaimed Urban Bush Women.
